Automatic Surfacing

Automatic Surfacing

If you draw any closed shapes directly on a flat plane in orthographic view, as long as all curves are flat and are on the same plane, a flat surface will automatically be generated. We call this auto surfacing.

  1. Draw a closed shape in an orthographic view (closed shape = no open gaps between curves).
  2. A surface will automatically be created.
  3. To turn this off, go to the settings in the top of the interface.
  4. Then in the settings card, go to 'Automation' and then toggle off "Auto-Surface".
