Measurements and Dimensions

Follow these simple steps to make measurements and add dimensions to your uMake projects.

  1. Create a new layer
  • Keeping dimensions on a separate layer makes it easy to toggle them on and off.
  • Open the Layers panel on the Items tab and create a new layer.

  1. Create dimensions
  • Tap the ruler button (top menu) to enter the Measurement tool.
  • Drag to measure freely, or tap on a curve or surface. To create angle measurements, tap adjacent curves.
  • Tap "End Measurement." Then drag the measurement to position it and tap the dimension symbol to make it permanent.

  1. Edit dimensions
  • After making your measurements permanent by turning them into dimensions, you can edit them by single tapping on a dimension.
  • To erase a dimension, double tap on it then tap the Delete icon.
To embed a Youtube video, add the URL to the properties panel.
